It is in place to mention here that the inhabitants of the village are pursuing the matter of alleged encroachment of the Cremation Ground land measuring about 3 kanals since 2008 at every possible forum including Police and Revenue Department, however, no action initiated against the land grabbers.
The application submitted by the residents of the village sought a direction of the DC, Jammu to the SHO, Domana for registration of FIR u/s 447-A, 295-A, 379 RPC against Ranjeet Singh, Angrez Singh, Yashpal Singh and Sham Singh all sons of Chanchal Singh, all residents of Lower Barnai, Tehsil Jammu North for illegally trespassing the Cremation Ground.

"On 19-10-2019, the grabbers again illegally encroached the cremation ground by forcibly digging out the concrete poles and further by putting 8-10 trollies of debris in the shape of concrete over the piece of land, part of cremation ground, which has outraged the religious sentiments," the plea states.
