Admin shifts security forces from exam centre in valley, as annual board exam commence

Srinagar, Oct 28: The administration in the valley has shifted security forces from the government schools and colleges, where annual board examination for the class 10th and 12th will be commence from Tuesday.
The development came after more than two months after additional security forces were brought up in the valley post removal of Article 370 in August to deal with law and order situation. After the additional forces came up in the valley, the administration has accommodated the forces at many different places including government colleges and schools. Class 10th exam will commence from October 29, while as class 12th will start from October 30. And, as many as 1.06 Lakh students will sit in the examination.
An official said, "A meeting was held last week, where it was decided by the Jammu and Kashmir administration that security forces will be shifted from government schools and colleges, where examination centre has put up for the annual board examination".
He added that it was conveyed to every education officer in every district to follow the process which was started last week. The thing is we did not want students to suffer in such condition and moreover situation could have turned outside.
It is pertinent to mention that section 144 will be imposed around exam centre and deployment of Jammu and Kashmir flying squad around the centers. While as the magistrates will also be appointed to supervise examination. Moreover to facilitate the students, the administration will arrange transport facility for students appearing in the exam. While as State Road Transport Corporation buses will ferry students to centers.
All this was decided in a meeting that was held last week by Divisional Commissioner and it was decided that district administration in consultation with School Education Department proposed shifting of exam centre after properly asserting law and order situation in the areas where the centre have been set up.
