Early Times Report

Arnia, Mar 15: Former legislator of Bishnah and Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) leader Ashwani Sharma has hailed the decisions taken by Union government and claimed that the government was committed the safeguard the interests of people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a public meeting at Arnia, Ashwani Sharma said that BJP government is well aware of the concerns of the people of Jammu and Kashmir with respect to land, employment and other issues. Time and again government has said that a domicile certificate will be issued to people of J&K which will safeguard their land and jobs.
At an appropriate time this certificate will be issued as process has already begun, Sharma said.
He said that BJP government scrapped the anti-people Article 370 which was a hindrance between people of J&K with rest of the country. Scrapping Article 370 doesn’t mean that people of the state will be left to suffer but a domicile certificate will give them the identity which they deserve and which is aimed at protecting their rights”, he added.
On the issue of giving the statehood back to J&K, the BJP leader said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have assured the nation that once the situation is back to normal, statehood will be given back to people of J&K.
The government has announced delimitation commission for J&K which will address the long pending demand of the people. Once it is completed and every region will be given its due share, statehood is expected to be given to J&K, which was clear in recent statement of the PM, Sharma said.
