Kuldeep demands relief package for Small Scale Industry Units | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 5: Jammu Intellectual Forum (JIF) has expressed the concern that due to nationwide lockdown the owners of Small Scale Industries especially the units are below the cost of Rs 50 lac are facing multiple crisis which have been arisen due to COVID-19 and asked the government to come with a relief package so that may survive. In a press statement, the president JIF Dr Kuldeep Sharma urged the Lt Governor Mr GC Murmu to consider the problems being faced by the small scale industrialist and they must be given incentive so that they may continue their business. He said that first of all government must release the due and pending subsidy of all the small units. He said that for a long time that the subsidy of some units is not being released and the units are suffering financial crisis. He also demanded that power tariff and water charges of all small business units should be exempted to give them a sigh of relief. Mentioning about the EMI, he asked the government to waive of the interest for the period of lockdown on the amount procured as loan by the different banks by the owner of small scale industrial units so that the unit and the employees can survive. He said that persons linked with the small scale industrial unit are at the verge of starvation and they need a special package to survive in future. |
