Fight against COVID-19 continues , next two weeks very crucial : SSP Jammu | | | Rajesh Tandon Early Times Report
Jammu, May 5: SSP Jammu Shridar Patil said that fight against COVID-19 has been still going on and next two weeks are very crucial and they have to win the final battle by following the guideline and remaining at home. While talking to Early times correspondent, in an exclusive interview, SSP Jammu said that they have so far succeed to curb COVID-19 due to collaborated efforts of various departments including police but there is no sense of complacency in them as the fight against coronavirus is still going on. “Now we have big challenge ahead as the stranded people of state in different states are now coming in Jammu as per Center government plan. There will be testing of these people on their entering in the Jammu and in all this process we have to be very careful,” he said. He further said that next two weeks will be more crucial and critical phase of COVID-19 and if we successfully managed to handle it then we will be able to win the final battle against it and in all this JK Police have been working as front line warriors. He thanked the people of Jammu to cooperate with police since the beginning of lockdown and till date, who made it successful. The people of Jammu helped stranded people in various parts Jammu district by providing them ration, medicines, which was very munch unexpected. “99 % people followed the lockdown and cooperate with police. The generosity showed by the people during this difficult time was speechless and worth appreciation. It is only because of people that we are in good position in controlling Corona,” SSP Jammu said. Police have been playing multiple jobs during this lockdown like by creating awareness among people about corona, providing ration, medicines, giving round the clock duty at quarantine centers. “It was unique challenge for police for the first time and we adopted several new ideas to tackle the situation and have succeeded in it,” Patil said. He appealed the people to continue their cooperation for next two week to win the final battle and asked them to stay at home. |
