JKFCEF demands release of pending salaries | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 11: Emergency meeting of JKFCEF was held here today under the chairmanship of Suresh Sharma, spokesman of the Forum to take stock of the situation arising after the administrative council took decision to replace SFC by FDC. Sharma thanked LG and chief secretary for at least taking a final decision on the fate of the employees but regretted that still the employees are without salaries and are at the verge of starvation. He questioned the rationale behind release of one month’s salary only as a matter of fact three months’ salary should have been released to give sigh of relief to the employees. He demanded that orders should immediately be issued so as to continue the existing arrangements as was before 31.3.2020 and demanded immediate release of grant in aid already sanctioned by Govt of India so as to disburse balance pay and dues to labourers and retired employees in one go.Delay in release of pending salary has compounded the financial problems of poor employees and are in great distress and trouble. He urged that the pending wages should be release within a week failing which employees will register their anguish by coming on roads. He appealed the Chief Secretary to give representation to one member of the forum as stake holder in the Roll Out committee to be formed by the govt for new FDC. Sharma appealed the employees to remain united and be little more patient till detailed order is issued and wait for further programme of JKFCEF. |
