Expedite developmental works to compensate time lost due to COVID: Secretary J&K Sports Council | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 4: Soon after taking over the affairs of Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council, newly appointed Secretary, Nuzhat Gul conducted extensive tour of Rajouri and Poonch districts and directed the officials besides the engineering wing of the sports body to expedite ongoing developmental works to compensate the time already lost due to COVID-19 pandemic. An official here said that Gul on Thursday reviewed ongoing works at Rajouri and directed the concerned officials to set weekly targets for the executing agency to speed up the ongoing works and compensate the time lost during COVID-19 pandemic. She was also briefed about the progress of ongoing works by the engineering wing, he added. Later, the Secretary visited Sports Stadium Rajouri, where she was briefed about the sports activities in the district. She also interacted with the officers and officials of J&K Sports Council. The Secretary was accompanied by Chief Accounts Officer JKSC, Dr Zaffar Iqbal, manager Rajouri stadium and other officers of the Council. Earlier on Wednesday, the Secretary visited Poonch and interacted with the trainees from different sports disciplines and their coaches amidst inspection of the ongoing works on the infrastructure development. |
