JAMMU, Feb 4: NSS unit of Government Degree College (GDC) R S Pura organized a visit to the Bal Niketan and Nari Niketan RS Pura, Jammu in order to have an interaction with the inmates on the fourth day of their seven-day winter camp. The visit was conducted under the leadership of principal of the college, Dr Sunita Sudan and supervision of Prof Bindu Kumari, NSS Programme Officer. The purpose of the visit was to sensitize the volunteers towards the children and women living over there. During the visit, volunteers and teachers of the NSS unit interacted with children and women. Besides, they also distributed sweets and fruits to them. They entertained them by conducting various activities like playing games, reciting poems, singing songs, performing dance and acting in a Nukkad Natak. Prof Vijay Kumari and Prof Sukhwinder Kaur also accompanied the NSS volunteers during the visit. |
