| JMC Mayor inspects various parks | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 4: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta conducted an extensive tour of different parks in Gandhi Nagar area and took stock of the various activities being undertaken for the better beautification of these parks. He was accompanied by Dr. Rabia Khan, Assistant Floriculture Officer, Rajinder Kumar I/c Sanitation Officer, Sardar Joginder Singh, Sanitary Inspector and other field staff of Horticulture/ Floriculture section as well as Health section of JMC. Prominent inhabitants of the Gandhi Nagar and its adjoining localities were also present there during the tour of the Mayor who put forth various issues in terms of better maintenance of the parks by installation of dustbins at proper places of the parks for wastes/garbage collection, proper cutting of extra grass on routine basis as well as supply of water for maintaining overall greenery in & around the locality, rectification of defunct/installation of more LED/High mast lights at various corners of the parks to avoid prevailing darkness as people in large numbers especially senior citizens as well as ladies comes for morning & evening walk on daily basis. Mayor directed the concerned officers to take immediate necessary measures to redress these important issues raised by the public and maintain proper liaison with them also for keeping the parks neat, clean & green, deploy sufficient number of malies and other field staff on routine basis. |
