KISHTWAR, Feb 14: The miseries of people of Marwah and Warwan continues as people forced to held a protest against the failure of the administration in airlifting the pregnant woman from Warwan since last 3 days as a result of which the child died in mother’s womb.
As per the details available with Early Times, the people of Warwan made repeated request to the District Administration Kishtwar for lifting the pregnant woman who required immediate medical attention since the Warwan area lacks adequate healthcare facilities, but despite repeated request the administration informed the non-availability of the chopper due to foggy weather in Jammu as well as in Patnitop as a result of the chopper failed to reach Kishtwar from where it will be deputed to Warwan for lifting the patient forcing the people to lodge protest today at Kishtwar helipad.
As soon as the protest started by the people of Warwan, local people as well as people from Marwah joined them.
Following massive protest and intervention of political and social activist, the chopper was sent to Warwan from where the pregnant lady was airlifted.
The locals informed the Early Times that later the women was shifted to District Hospital Kishtwar where she gave birth to a dead child.
The people got disbursed off peacefully after the patient reached District Hospital Kishtwar.
Medical Superintendent District Hospital Kishtwar Dr. Parvaiz Iqbal Wani confirmed to Early Times about the death of child, adding that the child was already dead in mother’s womb and the doctors at District Hospital Kishtwar removed it after following proper medical procedure.
Speaking to Early Times, Muzaffar Lone from Warwan expressed heartfelt condolences to the family who lost the child in mother’s womb.
He said that the people of the area are suffering due to lack of common facilities that include non-existence of health and medical facilities, addinn that these are routine sufferings through which poor people of Warwan undergo.
“Let district administration put advance machinery to clear snow on Margan road so that people could easily travel to Kashmir or Kishtwar for their important works as well as for treatment” said Muzaffer Lone.
