JKTA holds executive meeting, raises issues of teachers | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 14: A meeting was organized by Jammu Kashmir Teachers Association (JKTA) under the leadership of UT President Bhupinder Singh and UT Chairman Shah Fayaz. The meeting was attended by executive members and District Presidents of Association. While speaking on the occasion UT President Bhupinder Singh and UT Chairman Shah Fayaz raised the various genuine and burning issues of the teaching fraternity which include inclusion of teachers appointed under ReT scheme (Teachers Grade II, Teachers Grade III and Third Teachers ) in newly drafted Transfer Policy as these teachers have been working in the same schools for last 20 years, inclusion of 5 Years ReT period for seniority benefits as same was given vide Govt. Order No.469 Dated 25.06.2014, removal of Pay Anomaly of teachers as teachers of J&K UT are placed in the pay grade of 2800 whereas teachers of other UTs are placed between grade pay of 4200 to 5000, regularisation of ReTs who have completed their 5 years ReT period and waiting for the same for a long time as a some cases are pending for last more than two years, appointment of ZEOs in headless zones so that teachers may not suffer, conversion of left out RRETs to Teachers Grade II/III as some cases are withheld due to adverse CID reports on minor changes and thus they are suffering badly due to non-release of their salaries and release of pay and other arrears of RRETs prior to September 2018. |
