JAMMU, Feb 14: The Ex-Central Paramilitary Forces Welfare Association assembled at Press club Jammu and observed two minutes silence in the memory of the 40 CRPF security personnel who were killed in an attack at Pulwama on 14th of February 2019 the Pak sponsored militants. On the occasion, the General Secretary of the Association D.K Chauhan appealed to the U.T Government for grant of concession of 40% to the Para-military forces in the CSD canteen for all the essential eatable items as well as for the liquor but instead of this the U.T Government has recently given concession only on liquor @ 25%. Shashi Sharma President of the Association also appealed to the Central Government headed by Narinder Modi to grant pension to the Para-Military forces with effect from 2004 as per previous practice. The Joint Secretary of the Association Sh. Khushal Singh Bist said that when an MLA or MP and MLC is elected for five years only and they are getting the full pension /family pension, whereas the Para-military forces i.e. BSF, CRPF, ITBP, CISF, SSB etc are serving for more than 33 years on zero line for safeguarding the country and why they are deprived from the pension and family pension and thus a great injustice is done with such a forces and appeal to the Government to grant them pension as well as family pension for their survival.
