Jammu, Feb 14: Popatrao Baguji Pawar who transformed Hiware Bazar to ‘Model Village’ also known as ‘Village of Millionaires’. Pawar, also a role model for Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat development was invited for a talk.
The programme was organized with the presence of able guidance of worthy Principal of the College, Prof. (Dr.) Satinder Kour.
Motive of the talk was to aware and inspire younger generations from Mr. Popatrao Pawar’s role and responsibility as young leader to develop the deteriorated village of pre 1989 to exemplary Model village for whole India.
The event was started with a welcome note by Dr. Tsering Dorjay, co-ordinator of the Programme. The Programme was followed with a formal address by Prof. (Dr.) Satinder Kour by giving importance on participation, enthusiasm, and also sustainable vision in life. Isha Devi, a student of 1st Semester, welcomed Guest speakers with Dogri folk songs by her melody voice. There were also participants from many colleges with the staff of the College were Dr. Kamal Deep Kour, Prof. Swati Dutt, Dr. Radha Rani, Dr. Javid Manzoor, Schweta Rani, Fayaz Ahmad, Mohd Jahangir, and Ankeshi Rani. The programme was concluded with a vote of thank by Fayaz Ahmad Kumar after a discussion session. |
