JAMMU, June 19: Cyclists of Bicycle for Change Club (BFCC) mourned the demise of iconic sports personality and ace runner Milkha Singh’s demise.
The cyclists assembled at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park and observed a 2-minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul. While addressing the meet, Sunil Sharma, coordinator of the group, said that the demise of world famous athlete Milkha Singh is a great loss to the nation.
He further said that Singh put all his sincere efforts to make India shine at international level as he won several medals for his country during his sports career. Speaking on the occasion, senior cyclist Deep Sharma appealed to the youth to follow the footsteps of this great sports personality.
In this programme cyclists including Sunil Sharma, Parikshit, Nikhil Mayan, Ajay Deep Sharma, Sukhpreet and others were present. |
