Jammu, June 19: Nami Dogri Sanstha (Regd) held an “e-Nanni Dadi Di Kathh Goshti” which was presided over by Shambu Ram “Pyasa” a well known dogri writer and poet and the proceedings were conducted by Yash Pal “Yash” General Secretary of NDS and renowned lyricist and music composer who also conceived the programne and carried out detail critical appreciation of each kathh read in the literary meet . Those who read and presented the traditional stories were Sudershan Kumari “Darshi”, Kusum Sharma “Antra”, Yash Pal Yash, Shambu Ram Pyasa Tavi Puri Kamdar and Dr.Sushil Bhola.
Those who Appreciated were Prof. Anupama Sharma Patron Youth Wing NDS, Rohit Choudhary, Nidhi Kaila Choudhary, Kulbhushan Singh Jamwal, Wing Commander Dr. Deepak C Dogra, Group Captain Dupinder Singh, Dr.Chanchal Sharma Organising Secretary NDS, Sanjeev Sharma, K.D.Koul Mehboob R.K.Uppal Ram Paul , Dogra Jatinder Jolly, Dalip Singh Blowaria, Neelam Sharma, Amarjeet Kour “Neer”, Kalpana Gupta Rattan, Ravi Khajuria, Arun Banathia, Dr.Kamal Sharma, Arun Khajuria and Surinder Gharotia.
Harish Kaila President NDS stated that efforts should be made to revive and re-establish glorious dimensions of our dogri folk literature, folklore and folk traditions such as Dadi Nanni di Kathh, philonian, mahavre, kundalian and folk traditions like chhajja dance, haran, geetddu, rutt rahdde, bachh doayee, shinj so on and so forth.
Shambu Ram “Pyasa” in his presidential address not only appreciated the initiative of NDS but described todays “e-dogri dadi nanni di kathh goshti” a great success.
He further remarked that the traditional stories by our maternal and paternal grandmothers, tai, chachi, bua and massi infused moral values in the chilren and also acted like lullbies for sound and peace ful sleep for the children.
