| GDC Khour organizes webinar on “Biological Disaster” | | |

JAMMU, June 19: Department of Environmental Sciences, Govt. Degree College Khour today organized a webinar on Biological Disaster (Covid-19 Pandemic) under the patronage of Principal Prof. Hans Raj.
The resource person for the event was Dr Monika Langeh, Emergency Physician working in Delhi. The webinar was inaugurated by the worthy Principal by welcoming the resource person. The webinar was organized by Prof. Dalip Kumar HOD of Environmental Sciences. More than 130 participants including students and teachers attended the webinar. Dr. Langeh emphasized upon the different aspects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
She stressed upon the precautionary and preventive measures to be adopted for the Covid-19 and Black fungus such as not to get panic unnecessarily, to seek medical attention, to get vaccinated, make a schedule of activities like cooking, reading, yoga etc. and asked others to do the same.
After the lecture there was a healthy interactive session where several students got chance to ask various questions related to Covid-19 pandemic.
Principal of the college congratulated the participants on their overwhelming participation and also appreciated the efforts made by Department of EVS to organize such an online event. The vote of thanks was presented by Prof Dalip Kumar HOD EVS. |
