Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 22: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) held a protest sit-in today on the 477th day at Jagti Migrant Township under the chairmanship of its president Shadi Lal Pandita. The protesting members are demanding from the government to increase the monthly cash relief of relief holders from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000, 20,000 jobs to unemployed KP youth, compensation for over-aged youth and removal of illegal occupations of land and religious places of KPs in Kashmir valley, setting up of three townships near Baramulla, Srinagar and Anantnag for resettlement of Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir valley, pending amount of burnt houses, damaged houses and 32 years of losses of land and properties should be paid and also Kashmiri Pandits should be given political and minority status. Those who participated in the protest included Raj Kumar Bhat, Mohan Krishan Tickoo, Charanjeet Singh, Vinod Bhat, Shuban Raina, Rakesh Tickoo, Vijay Bakshi, Satish Pandita, and others. |
