JAMMU, Jan 22: As a matter of fact Jammu city which may be called a smart city in near future actually sans the basic infrastructure of roads and other civic amenities but there seems nobody in the concerned government offices to hear the pleas of general public. So far as roads of Jammu city are concerned one can guess by paying a look at Udheywala-Bohri Chungi stretch.
This road stretch is really in shambles.Firstly the road is very narrow yet no maintenance is being done by the concerned authorities. The pictures taken by the Early Times lensman of this road stretch speaks volumes of the official apathy.
People living in surrounding areas rue the treatment which is meted out with this road by the concerned authorities. They said every day we hear about the new road projects for Jammu and other parts of the region worth crores of rupees by the administration but what goes wrong with these small road stretches in the city areas is beyond one's imagination, they added |
