| GDC Ramgarh organizes quiz competition on 'Save Girl Child' | | | Early Times Report
SAMBA, Jan 22: In the series of events, to generate awareness about " Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Abhiyan', Women Development Cell of Government Degree College (GDC) Ramgarh, today organized an online quiz competition to mark the occasion of 'Save Girl Child'. The event was organized under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol, Principal of the college. The aim of the competition was to make stakeholders aware of the topic 'Save Girl Child'.
Komal Salgotra, Department of Computer Applications, was Incharge of the event. She encouraged the students to compete with zest and also direct their efforts towards empowering girls and making them ready to face the challenges in future.
Thirty nine students participated in the Quiz Competition with great zest. Participants were judged on the basis of the points they scored in the test quiz which was given to the students with the help of Google Forms. The participants were given Half an hour to fill the Question paper. The winners of the quiz competition on 'Save Girl Child' were Anuj Pangotra (Semester III), Aditi Bharti (Semester III), Simran Bhagat (Semester I), Dev Raj (Semester I) and Tarun Singh (Semester V).
Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol congratulated the winners of the event and encouraged them to participate in more such events. She also said that it gives me immense pleasure to see that there is equal participation of both genders in the event, as all are equally responsible for the survival of human race on the earth and hence for the growth and development of the nation. The event was held under the convenership of Prof. Seema Sharma. |
