GDC Vijaypur organizes symposium on Bose's birth anniversary

VIJAYPUR, Jan 22: To celebrate the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose as Prakram Diwas, the NSS unit (Khidmat) of GDC Vijaypur in collaboration with Department of Political Science organized a symposium with the aim to inspire youth to act with fortitude in the face of adversity as Netaji did and to infuse in them a spirit of patriotic fervor, indomitable spirit of selfless service and love for the nation. Students of the college enthusiastically participated in the symposium which was presided over by Dr. Sunil Kumar Mangoch (NSS PO). The welcome address followed by introductory speech on the life and contributions of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose were presented by Dr. Vimpal Sharma (H.O.D, Pol. Science). In the symposium, Aryan Sharma of B.A Sem 1st; Supriya Slathia of B.A Sem 5th and Jyoti Devi of B.A Sem 3rd bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, Principal of the College. She apprised that Netaji was a daredevil, rebel, charismatic orator and had revolutionary ideas. His selfless contribution to India's Independence by raising and leading the Indian National Army is indispensable which resulted in the freedom of the country from the clutches of British empire. Throughout his life, Netaji inspired several and even after his death the teachings that he left behind keeps on motivating the rest. She further exhorted that Netaji always said that an individual may die but his ideas will reincarnate itself into hundreds of lives all over again and a man should never hesitate to share his ideas and creativity. The formal vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Neeraj Bargotra (HOD, Education). E-certificates were awarded to all the winners.
