| Harsh Dev condemns bomb blast near his residence in Udhampur | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, Mar 9: NPP Chairman and former Minister Harsh Dev Singh today condemned the incident of bomb blast at Udhampur which claimed a precious life besides causing serious injuries to over a dozen people. He said that the bomb blast which had occurred just 50 meters away from his residence appeared to be a deep rooted conspiracy by vested interests and sought a high level probe into the same. He said that law and order had been taken hostage by vandals and marauders in District Udhampur who were calling the shots unhindered with the Police administration sheltering these influential goons. He said that lumpen elements were operating fearlessly and riding roughshod over law due to the patronage of some political bigwigs. This had led to gradual deterioration in the security situation with opposition leaders in particular being targeted by criminal elements owing allegiance to a particular party.
Seeking a judicial probe into the incident of bomb blast near his residence, Singh said that a political sabotage could not be ruled out given the highly egregious credentials of the notorious gangsters affiliated with the ruling party. |
