| Sirigufwara-Anantnag residents demand houses under PMAY | | |

ANANTNAG, Mar 9: Residents of Sirigufwara in this South Kashmir district have expressed concern over the delay in allotment of houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) and said that the deserving families are being denied this facility. A group of villagers while giving vent to their anger said the concerned officers and officials of Rural Development Department (RDD) are forcing them to make frequent rounds of their office while doing nothing for them. These people said that they would go to the highest court in the country so that justice is meted out to them.
The villagers said that the poor families consisting of many members including young girls are forced to live under the open sky with no shelter available to them. They said that they will not hesitate to come on roads and loge strong protest in support of their demands. |
