Jammu, Mar 28: The Annual General Body Meeting of Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) Tridev Branch, Shastri Nagar, was held today at Ram Mandir Hall, where key office bearers for the year 2025-26 were elected. A large number of members, both men and women, participated in the meeting. The event began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by Chief Guest Shri Dev Raj Sharma, National Convenor (Environment), along with Shri Arun Sharma (Member NGS), Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Shiv Ram Sharma, Smt. Sunita Gupta, Smt. Arti Sharma, Prof. Bharat Bhushan Sharma, and Gurmeet Singh. Outgoing President Shri M.L. Padha welcomed the guests, election observers, and members while highlighting the organization’s core values—Sampark, Sahyog, Sanskar, Seva, and Samarpan. Shri Brita Ram Sharma conducted the proceedings and presented an overview of the branch’s activities during 2024-25. Shri J.S. Slathia, Treasurer, detailed the financial report for the same period. The election process was conducted under the supervision of observers Shri B.B. Sharma (President, JK Prant) and Smt. Arti Sharma (Mahila Pramukh, JK Prant). The members unanimously elected: Shri M.L. Padha – President, Shri B.R. Sharma – Secretary, Shri Jagdish Singh Slathia – Treasurer Prominent speakers, including Shri Dev Raj Sharma, Shri Arun Sharma, and Shri Ved Parkash Sharma (President, DBPS Jammu), addressed the gathering. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri B.R. Sharma, followed by the singing of the National Anthem and a fellowship lunch. |
