JU fails to take action against erring officials | | | Mohd Irfan
Jammu, Sept 24: The Jammu University administration has seemingly turned a Nelson’s eye towards gross violation of norms and has been shielding erring officials rather than taking action. According to reply of RTI application no.370 dated 17-09-2012 from office of public information officer no.PIO/JU/12/3422, according to which 3 officials who were found appointed in JU in contravention of prescribed norms & eligibility criteria. According to RTI, Non-technical officials were given the post of technical officers and three officials were bestowed with much higher posts than what they deserve according to their qualifications. As per documents, One is Sanitary Inspector who is 12th pass with diploma but the eligibility criteria is that the incumbent should be MBBS but JU have thrown norms into winds and a 12th pass is appointed as Sanitary inspector, for which the eligibility criteria should be MBBS. Sources said that Vice Chancellor MPS Ishar has not been showing any interest to shift these officials, due to some unknown reasons. "These officials are getting the pay-grade of assistant registrar and it's not less than a goldmine for them," said another official wishing anonymity. |
