Javaid Naikoo srinagar, Aug 22: Responding to reports about removal of Chief Executive Councilor (CEC) LAHDC, Kargil by National Conference ahead of Assembly elections, the CEC, Asgar Karbalai said the NC leader was day dreaming like his colleagues. Karbalai said Congress was not afraid of NC and LAHDC is not the property of NC. He said that Congress has the majority in LAHDC and that is what has crowned him with LAHDC head today and added that NC which has 11 members in LAHDC and Congress 15 members. "The question of my removal does not arise," he said. "Budget is not a game one can play in minutes, we are almost through and have decided that on August 27 we will pass the budget plan for the council, NC leadership is actually not in a position to digest our achievements, besides being aware of their bleak future, NC leadership is living in a fool's paradise," said he. He said that the NC has stated that Karbalai has no majority and he couldn't even pass the budget for the council. "A person who exists nowhere despite being the MoS is actually building castles in the air," he said. Pertinently as per reports, NC leadership has also taken strong note of the recent comments of LAHDC Chief wherein he has allegedly accused NC leadership of not allowing him to unfurl of the tri-colour at various Tehsil offices in Kargil on August 15 celebrations. |
