Early Times Report Jammu, Aug 22: The intelligence agencies have sounded an alert about the possibility of the kidnapping of foreign tourists by those who are said to be getting radicalized by the ISIS in Kashmir. According to highly placed intelligence sources, information has been received that ISIS has inducted some highly radicalized youth in the Valley and could be using them to kidnap the foreign tourists for ransom or for some shocking results. "The posters of the world's most dreaded terrorist outfit Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) have already surfaced in the Kashmir. But now there are reports that it may soon get into action as it has roped in some youth," said a senior official wishing not to be named. A youth from the Kashmir has already been identified taking part in evil design of the ISIS in Iraq along with some other Indians. In the past also, terrorist outfits have done kidnappings of the foreign tourists. It was after these incidents and with the spurt in terrorism in the Valley, US and European countries had issued advisory against visiting Kashmir. Though, off late, the advisory was lifted. The intelligence sources said the terrorist outfit is drawing up plans after the Modi Government rebuffed separatists and Pakistan. There are reports that Pakistan may be providing logistic and necessary training to these youth from its group already operating in the Valley. "Pakistan and especially ISI, which has an understanding with the ISIS, can push in some Taliban terrorists also in the Valley to achieve its targets," said the official. According to sources, after it received rebuff from Modi, it was also planning to push more terrorists into the India for some devastating terror strikes to show its leverage over the terrorists and how it could use them against India. "There are credible reports in this regard. ISIS has been using kidnapping as major source for its funding. By using ISIS or rather helping it, Pak would try to put not only US pressure on India if US citizen is kidnapped but also put India in a weak spot ," said the official. |
