Non committal BJP forces Omar to contest on two-seats | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 9: The Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has been reportedly not given any assurance of possible post-poll alliance by the Central leadership of the BJP. Despite the best efforts of the Omar Abdullah the Central BJP has remained non-committal about it. It's because of this strong views of the BJP, Omar was forced to not only leave his difficult Ganderbal seat but contest from two seats. Sources said such was the non committal attitude of the BJP leadership that Omar could sense that he would not be assured of any facilitation to help him win in Kashmir. The sources said the Prime Minister has directed for free and fair elections without any undue favour to any one. It was only then that Omar made a hasty retreat from the politically slipper Ganderbal seat. Omar had pressed in the best of his aides to convince BJP leadership-read Modi- to atleast make him stay political relevant by being in power. He tried all tricks first by praising Modi and then giving statement that BJP could achieve its mission in the State. But it also didn't cut much ice with the Modi, who has reportedly instructed the party to put all the resources in the State and win on its own Sources said the Modi on getting feedbacks and intelligence reports has now decided to change the political discourse of the politics in the State especially in the Kashmir. He is keen to rewrite the political history and it's for this reason that he has visited the State four times and even decided o spend Diwali there. The BJP leadership has also indicated that the regional parties will not be acceptable with the present set of their political ideology. He has made it clear that the regional parties in the Kashmir may not be untouchable but they had to shed their past political tricks and dynastic exploitative parties would not be acceptable now and will not be able to run in the future. |
