Ghana High Commissioner inaugurates Nursing Conference at LPU | | | Early Times Report
Jalandhar, Jan 28: High Commissioner of the Republic of Ghana Samuel Panyin Yalley visited Lovely Professional University (LPU) today and inaugurated 5th Nursing Conference on Clinical Nursing 2015 organized at Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium of the university. SPS Apollo Hospitals and LPU School of Pharmaceutical Sciences collaborated to organize the Conference. More than 1000 participating nursing professionals from 25 nursing institutes of the team were sensitized by medical experts' team from SPS Hospitals. The topic of the conference "Clinical Nursing" highlighted specific requirements from nursing professionals for caring critically ailing patients. Appreciating the educational endeavours of LPU in high terms, Yalley expressed: "As I have seen LPU is the largest University not only in India but also in Africa and even Europe. I would like to see many of students from across globe to get higher education in universities like LPU." Addressing nursing professionals, Guest continued: "Your profession is very helpful for mankind and is above all other professions. You have been specially sent by God to help suffering humanity. The way you converse and communicate with the patients they automatically get healed up. I personally feel that there must be an Apollo Hospital in Republic of Ghana as well. In Ghana, there is presently one nurse to look after 500 patients and I also want good nurses among you to serve in Ghana." |
