SKUAST-J organizes farmers training programme 1/28/2015 10:47:26 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 28: Sher-e Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J ) under the guidance of Dr Sanjay Khar (Programme Coordinator, KVK Jammu) today organized one day farmers training programme on 'Sensitizing Farmers for formation of Farmers Clubs' for the farmers of the Datryal village of Marh block of Jammu district. According to press release, the programme was attended by the different progressive farmers of the area. During the training programme Dr. Rakesh Sharma (Sr. Scientist Agriculture Extension, KVK, Jammu) advised the farmers to form farmers club for hessle free availability of finance and to get beter price of their produce. He briefed the detai procedure to be followed for registration of farmers club with NABARD, Grameen bank for making their agriculture profitable. Moreover Dr Sharma also guided the farmers to carry out the farming on community basis by pooling their resources thereby making optimum utilization of the resources available with them. During the training programme Dr Punit Choudhary SMS Agrof-orestry, KVK Jammu laid emphasis on cultivation of demand driven agricultural commodities by the farmers of the area.The training came to end with the vote of thanks from the Progressive farmer Rajesh Sharma and requested the KVK scientist to organise such training programme on regular basis for the benefit of the farmers of the area.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
