Couple, son found dead mysteriously at Katra hotel 1/28/2015 10:54:17 PM Early Times Report katra, Jan 28: A couple and their minor son were found dead mysteriously in a hotel room at Katra here on Wednesday. As per police reports, the Udhampur based family member of four went to Katra on Tuesday and checked in a hotel for a night. "They took juice and went to sleep and three of them never woke up, sources said. "The family members namely Satish Verma (40) s/o Madan Lal Verma, his wife Monika Verma (30) , son Deeraj Verma (10) and daughter Diksha Verma (8) reached at Katra in their Indigo car bearing registration number JK14 B/8316and checked in a hotel for a night," they said. Quoting the lone survivor Diksha, the police sources said, "The family took a glass of juice brought by Satish Verma except the minor girl namely Diksha. " The girl when woke up in the morning finding her parents and brother lying unconscious got scared and rushed to the hotel reception where she narrated the matter to hotel manager, police sources said. "Smelling something foul, the hotel manager immediately reported the matter to police, sources said adding, "a team From Police Station Katra was rushed to spot which shifted the unconscious persons to the hospital where they were declared as brought dead." Police besides seizing the glasses of juice and other circumstantial evidences which later were sent to FSL as a part of investigations also video graphed the room.
