NSF protests against JU authorities 1/28/2015 10:59:03 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 28: National Secular Forum (NSF) today staged protest against University authorities for not paying any attention towards Health Centre in the University campus saying it has become defunct. Addressing the gathering here today, Province Vice-President PP Singh said that Vice Chancellor Prof.RD Sharma, claiming himself to get better services for students, scholars but at ground realties exposes his claim, as the health centre of varsity campus opens only few hours in each day and closed when campus off. Singh further disclosed that the Health Centre has X-Ray Machine but lack of Machine operator, for last three years machine gathering dust in health centre. Few months back a contractual technician was appointed by the Varsity authorities but still has failed to function. Singh further said that every year University authorities collect crores of revenue by charging fee from students for health facility but the amount was not utilized properly. "Authorities of Jammu University charge fee under this category but do not provide the facilities which mean the students are being duped.
