"Not only RS elections, 15 MLCs in line after Govt formation is bigger contest for BJP-PDP" | Dismissing Rumor mills | | K Koushal/Arun Singh
Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 31: Another remarkable dimension comes into the play in the government formation process for Jammu and Kashmir with Bhartiya Janta Party National President Amit Shah saying that last hitch to be removed to sneak through for coalition compatibility is the finality needed on the name of chief minister to rule the coalition. This has generated a significant interest among the people, particularly the political analysts who have started rethinking the strategies. To a national channel, Amit Shah says, "No decision on CMship yet"- has, as per the reports, stirred the gravel again. Since the outcome of the polarized result in Jammu and Kashmir, the bustle that took the fore ground on the state's milieu has shown many hues. While Jammu gave second largest representation to BJP, PDP in valley played the rout, but with a deadlock emerging over a consensus to form a government, reason being the ideological differences and most importantly, valley's hardcore impression not to take saffron ideologue along to rule the state. A political buzz through the sources privy to present state dispensation under such situations says that the government formation in the state between BJP-PDP combine is just a rumor to buy time for Rajya Sabha win by both the parties. "As the consensus would not materialize between the parties on many issues, the popular government would be a farfetched dream only with Governor rule remaining as the solution until some ice breaks actually," said the source, adding that the recent jumbo reshuffle in the state administration from top to level bottom by Governor N N Vohra is a clear indication that the formation of the popular government in the state is the remotest possibility Dismissing the rumors, a senior BJP leader however breaks the myth generated on the issue saying that 'both have to move forward. "Let go the RS elections, the call for seven MLC's elections would be round the corner for both the parties which has its date prefixed for March 7. The government formation is in the process and sooner the state would get a new combine in the form of BJP_PDP coalition," he said. He said petty issues remain to be sorted out. He however kept the cards close to his chest over the issue of the rotational CM with BJP getting a second three year term , but admitted that manes of Chief minister as Mufti Mohammad Sayed and that of the deputy chief minister in Nirmal Singh has been finalized. The BJP leader also adds that not only the seven MLCs to be chosen by combine till March 7 hold the significance, the elections to other eight would be conducted by March 27 which would have four from BJP and four from PDP. "The rumor mills are faulty perceptions generated on hypothetical permutations, while the serious talks are on the fag end and sooner the new political alliance will come in place in Jammu and Kashmir," he said adding that both parties cannot afford to lose on the government formation. |
