The memorandum demanded cancellation of attachments and deployments of teaching staff as its timing has pushed several schools in a deep trouble at the last phase of academic session. It said a case by case examination by the Department to identify those who managed the attachment on other than genuine grounds and ensure their detachment is requested to be considered. Referring to Prime Minister's Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) launched in 2011, it said the scheme is laudable and noble but its implementation has been faulty as a number of NGOs and Educational Consultancies mushroomed in the State which misled the students. It also demanded early reduction in passenger fare consequent to reduction of petrol and diesel prices in the last few months and demanded to earmark land on priority basis for alternative shelter of border people who are affected by frequent firing from across the border by Pakistan. |
