GDC Jindrah organises lecture on 'lifestyle and AIDS' 2/13/2015 11:26:53 PM JAMMU, Feb 13: In its endeavour to create awareness among students about HIV/AIDS, Government Degree College (GDC) Jindrah today held an extension lecture on the theme "Healthy lifestyle and AIDS".The lecture was delivered by Dr Sumir Koul, Block Medical Officer (BMO) Dansal. He acquainted the students and staff of the college on several issues related to healthy life styles and threw light on the growing menace of HIV/AIDS, its causes and prevention. He explained in detail about the spreading, prevention and control of this disease, and also answered the queries of the students on the topic.The Principal of the College, Professor Tara Nath urged the students to follow the healthy life style and highlighted the importance of creating awareness among students especially adolescent girls. He appreciated the efforts of Dr Sumir Koul for his thought provoking lecture on this vital subject. The interaction was informative and the audience generated good response. The proceedings of the session were conducted by Dr Sunil Dutt Sharma while vote of thanks was presented by Professor Paramjit.
