Queer way of Revenue Dept in Ramsoo NT, Patwari never sat at new Naibat Senabathi 2/13/2015 11:45:55 PM Bivek Mathur Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 13: The creation of new administrative units at the fag end of the Omar Government was nothing more than an effort to appease the general public against its failure on all developmental fronts which is evident from the fact that the infrastructure constructed under proposed new administrative units is yet to be used for public related works. Early Times got several calls from the people of Senabathi Naibat in Ramsoo area where the concerned Naib Tehsildar (NT) and Patwari are reluctant to sit in the newly constructed office. People of the area, while sharing their grievances with Early Times said that since inauguration of the new Naibat Senabathi, neither the concerned Naib Tehsildar nor the Patwari sit in the office to address the revenue department related problems being faced by the people. "Only a signboard which is hanging over the doors of the newly constructed Naibat office is giving relief to the daily visitors otherwise the Naib Tehsildar concerned used to sit at Tehsil office Ukhral which is over 20 Kilometer distant from this location. Similar is the story of Patwari concerned who used to sit at SDM Headquarter Ramsoo which is 28 Kilometers distant from the newly constructed Naibat office", said a villager who wished anonymity. He further said that the main motive behind the creation of these new administrative units was to bring the administration at door steps but against this, the bitter reality is that people from seven panchayats that comes under Senabathi Naibat have to travel miles to get their daily problems solved. "Majority of the population of this Naibat is poor farmers who cannot afford to visit the tehsil office or SDM office every day leaving aside the routine works of the day. Despite repeated complaints with the SDM, neither NT nor Patwari ever sit in the newly constructed Naibat till now", said Gurdeep Singh Chib, District Secretary Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Ramban. SDM Ramsoo when contacted by Early Times conceded it to be true that the concerned Patwari and Naib Tehsildar used to pay visit only twice or thrice to this newly constructed Naibat and assured that the Naib Tehsildar will directed to sit permanently in the newly constructed administrative unit with effect from tomorrow.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
