Prof Bamzai receives MRSI award | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 13: Prof K K Bamzai, Department of Physics & Electronics, University of Jammu (JU) received this year's prestigious Materials Research Society of India (MRSI) award After receiving the award at 26th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at University of Rajasthan, Jaipur from 9 - 11 February 2015, Prof Bamzai today called on Vice-Chancellor, JU Prof R D Sharma, Vice-Chancellor congratulated Prof Bamzai for his research achievement and receiving MRSI 2015 Medal. Prof Sharma further said that this is the proud moment for University of Jammu to have received this honor from prestigious MRSI society. It is worthwhile to mention here that MRSI is an interdisciplinary society founded in 1989 by Bharat Ratan Prof. CNR Rao, FRS and is dedicated to the field of Materials Science and Engineering in India. This society is currently presided by Padam Shri awardee Dr. G. Sundararajan, Director, International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy & New Materials (ARCI). MRSI provides a forum for the Materials Science Community to share recent developments and innovations and to promote active interactions among scientists, technologists and engineers in materials science and engineering. Prof. Bamzai during the 26th MRSI AGM meeting delivered his MRSI Medal Lecture on correlated electron system, methods used to improve the quality of grown materials and the recent results obtained on the preparation, characterization and study of properties of rare earth vanadate nanoparticles. |
