Carmel Convent organises "Carmel Marthon" 2/13/2015 11:37:25 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 13: Carmel Convent High School has organised a race "Carmel Marthon" today. Around 500 students from classes 4th to 9th were guided and animated by our PT teachers Dheeraj Jamwal and Nayna Bamotra. The Marathon "Carmel Ki Daurh: Swachhata Ki Aur" was flagged of by Haji Mirza Hussain, Deputy Director of youth services and sports alongwith Rupali Salathia, NIS JKCA Coach and Nippur Jamwal, International Judo Player as Guest of Honour in the presence of the school Principal Maria Suzette AC and the school staff. The runners left the school gate at 9 AM Via Satyam Resort towards Marble Market Market to Greater Kailsah Chowk and back to school. The distance covered was about 4 kms. This Marathon was to Herald the message cleanliness and sportsmanship to inculcate healthy habits which is the pre-requirement for the progress of the Society. The young Carmelites enthusiastically participated in the event. The Management, Staff members Management committee members and the benefactors alongwith the security personnel and Red Cross Society rendered their full co-operation and support to make this event a success. It was an impressive activity of Carmel Convent High School.
