Jammu, Mar 9: The women development cell of the Govt. College of Education celebrated International Women's Day by organizing one day seminar on the topic Women Empowerment-issues and concerns. Prof.(Dr.) Renu Nanda, a senior faculty, Department of Education, University of Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion. While speaking on the occasion, Prof. Renu Nanda appreciated the team work of the college in providing the platform to the students to show their hidden talent and assured the staff and students her full cooperation in developing this institution as an institution of excellence. She appreciated the quality of presentations made by Prof. Baljinder Kour, Dr Piyali Arora, Prof. Mansi Sharma, Prof. Rubina Yasmeen, Komal Kotwal, . Pinaki Bakshi, Priyanka Koul in all the sessions highlighting the various issues and concerns related with women. Earlier the chief guest and other dignitaries were welcomed by the Prof. (Dr.) Ajeet Angral, Principal of the college. Prof.(Dr.) Jyoti Parihar, convener of the women development cell, presented a key note address and introduced the theme. Prof.( Dr.) Rajinder Kour, member of the cell organized an interactive session followed by presentations. Program was compared by Neerja and Tanzeel while the vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Maansi Sharma. |
