Jammu, Mar 9: Members of Movement for Peace, Equality and Justice (MPEJ), Kuldeep Kumar Rao and Dr. GS Charak criticized the chaotic policy and attitude of state government towards private school. According to press release, they said that the service rendered by the private Schools cannot be underestimated as they provide jobs and education to the people who otherwise are to be provided so by the government. It is the prime duty of the government to guarantee livelihood and education to the people and if some private schools comes to rescue of the government by providing both, then it is the prime duty of the government to encourage the steps and not to put it in such a position as would render its proper functioning rather impossible. They appealed the Chief Minister and Education Minister to personally intervene in resolving the most urgent and immediate burning demands of the private Schools. The demands include, the joint inspection conducted by J&K state BOSE and Education Department and joint committee of Recognition, Affiliation of BOSE and Education Department may be treated as final for granting extension of Recognition, Affiliation Schools. They further said that about 90% private Schools were running with deficit budget. The staff engaged by them stays hardly for 6-12 months and are mainly educated, un-employed and frustrated ones or retired ones and are paid the minimum possible wages. Charging them 12% as PF adds to the agony of these un-employed who resent the same badly. |
