Jammu, Mar 9: Water Works (PHE) Employees Association District urged upon Minister for Finance, Labour and Employment to regularize all the Daily Wagers, release their pending wages.
According to press release, a meeting of water workers held here under the chairmanship of Shiv Kumar Sharma, the State President of Indian National Trade Union Congress.
The representatives from various PHE Divisions like City-I , City-Il, (M) GW&DD, (M) North, (M) South, Akhnoor, Rural (C), Rural (M) and (M) Procurement Jammu highlighted the problems being faced by the workers of their respective Divisions.
Endorsing the demands of the workers, the President Shiv Kumar Sharma appealed to the newly formed Government especially the Minister for Finance, Labour and Employment and Culture, Dr. Haseeb A. Drabu to regularize all the Daily Wagers, release the pending wages of about last 24-30 months.
"Release of 17% D.A pending two installments and to make provision for the currently due installments of D.A in ensuing budget of the State Govt. which is being awaited eagerly by the working classes with a glare full of hope", demanded by the association. |
