| Jammu, Mar 9: Expressing their resentment against amendment in insurance Law bill, the insurance employees today observed one day strike.According to press release work remained paralyzed in LIC and GlC offices as the Insurance employees (LIC and GlC) all over the state observed one day strike."The strike was held against passage of Insurance Laws Amendment Rill in Lok Sabha on March 4, 2015 violating all democratic and parliamentary processes. In-spite of stiff opposition from the left and other opposition parties, the lower house paved way for FDI in insurance sector", Dileep Koul General Secy GIEU J&K. He said that this move of the NDA Govt. is not in the interest of the Nation and allowing HIKE IN FDI in insurance sector would help the international finance capital to gain greater control and access over the domestic savings of the Indian public.NDA Government that more capital, which will come through FDI, will help in bringing more business in insurance sector was not tenable because in insurance sector more capital does not mean more business. |
