| BJP betrayed people of Jammu region on AIIMS | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 4: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee Chief spokesman Ravinder Sharma today has said that BJP has caused severest ever blow and betrayed people of Jammu region and adjoining areas of neighbouring states by reversing the decision for setting up AIIMS at Jammu.
Referring to the announcement regarding AIIMS at Jammu, JKPCC Chief Spokesman Ravinder Sharma said that after the presentation of Union budget in the Parliament, this year, the Finance Ministry had confirmed the same to the press as reported in the media on March 1, 2015. He said Union MOS in PMO Dr. Jatinder Singh while confirming that the AIIMS has been sanctioned for Jammu, had claimed that justice has been done to state in the Union budget. He had further claimed that the propsal was mooted by the Vajpayee led government and the unfinished task has been accomplished by the present central government led by Narinder Modi. He said that it is an act of great betrayal and injustice not only to the people of Jammu region and adjoining states besides over one crore pilgrims who visit every year to this part of country, he said, questioning BJP over its double standards and politics of deceit.
He said that BJP Government has not even provided funds to the Medical Colleges and the Cancer institute's announced by the UPA Govt. for the State under the Health Ministry headed by Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad.
Sharma said that this would be on the top of the series of betrayals by the BJP with the present and future generations and people would never forgive it for the same. |
