PDP leader Haque seeks immediate relief for rain affected people

Doda, Apr 4 : Expressing serious concerns over the damages due to incessant rain, Senior PDP leader Shahab UlHaque today sought immediate relief to rain affected people in hilly district.
In press statement, PDP leader said that people living in Dessa, Bhagwah, Marmat, Gundna, Bharath and other remote villages were totally cut off from the district headquarters. "The incessant rain has damaged many houses partially or completely. Roads are damaged and blocked due to landslides", he said, adding that many villages have come under the threat of large-scale landslides. "Apart from power supply to remote areas has also been greatly affected, he said and added, "there is huge shortage of ration and fuel in all the areas."
Shahab ul Haque demanded the Government to give attention to the miserable conditions of this area also and requested the Government to immediately evacuate the people to safer places and provide tents for the time being.
