D&FC sleuths conduct surprise check in Udhampur, traders stage protest 4/4/2015 11:36:12 PM Udhampur, Apr 4: Enforcement team of Drugs & Food Control Organization, J&K today conducted surprise check of a local restaurant here and lifted some samples of eatables for test and analysis. However the team also tried to seal the restaurant but it was resisted by its owner who later held protest against department alleging political conspiracy. According to reports, a enforcement team of Drugs & Food Control Organization, J&K under the leadership of Director Nazir Ahmed today conducted surprise check of a local Restaurant Hot and Chilly near Barrian on Dhar Road and lifted samples from there . "Team after inspecting the restaurant the team tried to seize it but could not do so due to the strong protest demonstration by owner of restaurant Sumit Magotra which was supported by local traders and some congress leaders. "Restaurant owner -a youth leader from Congress alongwith his supporters workers held protest and also blocked Dhar road for more than an hour, reports added. Amid slogans against against Drugs & Food Control Organization and Health Minister Lal Singh, the protestors alleged that exercise was politically motivated. However police immediately intervened as and got the road cleared.
