JSM condemns CM for diversion of AIIMS from Jammu 4/12/2015 11:25:43 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 12: Jammu State Morcha (JSM) today strongly condemned the Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed for cleverly dislocating the AIIMS announced for Jammu by former Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee, to Kashmir Valley. In a statement issued here, general secretary and spokesperson of JSM, Chandra Uday Sharma said that despite of his claims of equal treatment to all the three regions of the State, Mufti robbed Jammu of AIIMS and sanctioned the same to his constituency of South Kashmir. He said it needs to remind the people that Omar Abdullah led NC-Congress coalition Government had also shifted Central University from Jammu to Ganderbal, the then constituency of former chief minister, Omar Abdullah. Sharma said that Mufti should not have forgotten that the Kashmir Valley has already got Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in addition to GMC to cater the medical needs of the Valley whereas people of Jammu have to go outside the State for specialized treatment, adding Jammu region deserves an AIIMS either in Jammu, Udhampur or Ramban district. He advised the Chief Minister to open a Toll Plaza somewhere between Pulwama and Anantnag to help collection of funds for improvement of National Highway 1A. The JSM leader appealed the people of Jammu to be ready to agitate for genuine grievances of Jammu and vote in next general election to regional parties of Jammu who are not interested in seeking ground in Kashmir or Delhi.   Share This News with Your Friends on Social Network     Comment on this Story
