Srinagar, Apr 12: The former union minister and senior Congress leader Professor Saifuddin Soz on Sundaylashed out at MLA Langate Er Rashid for asking Kashmiri Pandits to apologize for migrating from Kashmir. In a statement Prof Soz said: "I have a certain amount of liking for MLA Langate, Er Abdul Rashid for I see him among his people . I want to give him a suggestion, from which he could benefit. Sometimes, he crosses limits in his statements and his passionate concern on issues gets damaged. I strongly differ with him when he asks Kashmiri Pandits to apologize for migration . How could he ask them to do that? Who can deny the fact that this minority community had felt extremely scared in abnormal conditions in which the situation of social harmony, peace and the spirit of togetherness had become the first casualty.!" "I would also request Rasheed Sahib to consider my proposal that one should not look much too much to the past. All the stake holders in the Society today must look to the future of hope! At this critical juncture of our history, conciliation, reconciliation and mutual understanding is key to the resolution of all problems.!" he added. |
