| JU SC/ST Employees warm send off to founder member SK Shavotra | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 30 : The Jammu University SC/ST Employees Association organised special meet in the University Cafeteria, wherein, it gave a warm send off to its founder member SK Shavotra, Section Officer (Administration) on his superannuation after rendering thirty six years' unblemished service in the University of Jammu under the active administration of various Vice-Chancellors. According to press release, President RL Kaith and other members appreciated the sincerity and dedication of Shavotra in the performance of his duties and wished him a prosperous, healthy and happy post retirement life. They presented to him a number of gifts as token of love.
It may be recalled that on April 14, 2015 the Minister for Social Welfare and Forest Ecology Bali Bhagat had honoured Shavotra by presenting to him 'Dr B.R. Ambedkar Award' for his constant service he had rendered to promote and advance the education of public in the teachings of Dr Ambedkar. On the occasion, the Association invited the gracious attention of the Vice-Chancellor Professor RD Sharma towards its already discussed matters and urged an early action therein.
The Association also hailed the appointment of former Vice-Chancellor Professor Mohan Paul Singh Ishar as Vice-Chancellor of Maharaj Ranjit Singh State Technical University Bathinda. |
