| Speed up process of plan formulations: Bali Bhagat | | |  KISHTWAR, Apr 30 : Chairing the meeting of all District and sector officers in Kishtwar Minister for Social Welfare, Forest, Ecology and Environment, Bali Bhagat today reviewed the sector wise performance of all the line departments in DC Office Complex Kishtwar, here. Minister of State for PWD(R&B), Revenue Sunil Kumar Sharma also attended the meeting. Among others MLA Inderwal, G.M Saroori, MLC Firdous Tak, DC Kishtwar Mohd Javed Ahmed Khan, SSP Kishtwar, Yougal Manhas and other district officers were present in the meeting. While reviewing the performance of R&B (PWD) Division Kishtwar in respect of various roads and bridges under construction and district Plan, NABARD district Plan, NABARD sate plan, Bali Bhagat directed the S.E, R&B to expedite execution work on these vital projects and also asked the authorities to speed up the process of plan formulations so that the projects could be sanctioned at time. He issued the directions to Deputy Commissioner kishtwar to work on the, availability, viability and feasibility of the parking facilities in the Kishtwar Town and on the beautification along the road in the town besides asked him to prepare and submit a preliminary report in this regard.
Responding to the issue of pending forest clearance raised by various executing agencies in the District, the Minister assured them that the Government is committed to take up developmental projects and any bottlenecks pertaining to forest will resolved at the earliest. To permanently solve the water logging problem in low lying areas of the Town, Drainage should be included in the master plan of the Town, he added. Expressing concern over the availability of only 8-9 lakhs gallons of water per day against the requirement of 18 lakhs gallons in Kishtwar town and the slow progress of Naigarh Water project, which will solve the problem of water shortage in Kishtwar town, Bhagat directed the DC Kishtwar to take up the matter along with XEn PHE with the executing contractor and persuade him to work on war footing basis so the general masses may not suffer any more. He also asked MOS R&B and MLC Firdous Tak to take up the matter with the firm executing the work besides asked them to monitor the ongoing work on this project. Minister for Social Welfare, Forest, Ecology and Environment also reviewed the functioning of the RDD, PDD, PMGSY among other and passed necessary instruction to the concerned authorities. |
