| JMC organises sanitation drive | | |

Jammu, May 22:Officials of Jammu Munciipal Corporation on the directions of Soujanya Sharma (KAS), Commissioner Municipal Corporation, Jammu organised a sanitation drive. During the drive, Sat Sharma (C.A), MLA, Jammu West was also present. JMC purchased a new vehicle especially for de-silting of Nallahs of Jammu City that improve the carrying capacity of the Nallah and free flow of water during rainy season which was inaugurated by MLA. The MLA has appreciated the initiative taken by the Corporation regarding the de-silting of Nallahas. The drive was a part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. JMC assured that all the Nallahs will be de-silted before ensuing monsoon.The people were advised not to throw the garbage and waste in drains/Nallahs and asked to use identified collection points and dustbins installed by JMC for the disposal of garbage. Commissioner JMC thanked the MLA for sparing his valuable time for this purpose.
