NMC urges PM to convene meet of CMs | | | Jammu, May 22: National Mazdoor Conference's (NMC) Subash Shastri today urged upon the Prime Minister to convene a meeting of Chief Ministers of such states who are facing financial crunch of budgetary resources for simultaneous acceptance of 7th pay commission recommendations as soon as they are accepted by the Central Govt. to its employees and pensioners. According to press release, in a memorandum sent to Narendra Modi, Shastri said that states are not in position to implement 7th pay commission recommendations due to huge financial implication involved in this and as such, special provision should be made to enable states to implement 7th pay commission simultaneously.Shastri also urged Modi to direct chairman of the 7th pay commission Retired Justice Ashok Mathur to submit the mandated pay commission report to the Central Govt. by the deadline date by 30th of June 2015, so that any ambiguity arising out of the same stands removed to make the report implementable by January 1, 2016.Emphasizing on the need for immediate constituting National Wage Commission to evolve National wage policy, Shastri demanded enhancement in the monthly salary of daily rated workers to rupee ten thousand per month at the national level in view of sharp increase in the prices of essential commodities and inflation also. |
